If you haven't heard, the collecting of mint errors is one of the fastest growing segments of numismatics. Lets face it, with our mints producing millions upon millions of coins on a daily basis there are bound to be mistakes. Granted, everything is done to ensure these mistakes never reach the public, but they do. So let's deal with one of the more sought after type of errors and that is brockage errors.
A brockage error occurs when a coin is not ejected from the die thereby becoming part of the die itself, the next few coins through will usually end up being either 2 headed or 2 tailed and one side also having a transposed image due to the coin that was stuck. Granted, there are numerous varieties of brockage errors with many being quite spectacular and highly prized as collectibles.
